Using Cloudflare in WordPress, Full Explanation

Cloudflare – Cloudflare or the so-called Content Delivery Network or CDN, you may have heard one of these terms before, but what is its function, and how are we going to add Cloudflare to your WordPress site.

Why do we generally use a CDN?

  • Site loading time is faster for visitors
  • The site will always remain available, even if there is a glitch in the server or the site
  • Reduces the risk of spikes in server traffic, ensuring site stability.
  • Better website performance.
  • More security for the site from attacks and exposure to hacking.

It is important to ensure a consistent experience for all users. … CDNs not only ensure a faster experience for users, but also help prevent site downtime in case of increased traffic – CDNs help distribute bandwidth across multiple servers, rather than allowing a single server to handle all the traffic. , 2017

How do I add a CDN to a WordPress site?

There are several easy steps that you can follow in this tutorial so that you can finally add your WordPress website to Cloudflare in a successful way.

The steps are summarized as follows:

  • Register a free new account with Cloudflare
  • Add a domain address for Cloudflare
  • Change DNS RECORDS settings from the host in the control panel
  • Wait 48 hours for the complete change to take place

Register a free new account with Cloudflare

Go to Cloudflare’s website and create a new account using your email

Then, a screen will appear to you with your URL data, click on Next, to take you to the next step.

Change DNS RECORDS settings from the host in the control panel

Now Cloudflare will give you the so-called DNS options that you must change manually through your hosting control panel.. See the picture in number 2 and number 3.. Save them now because we will use them now

Data from cloudflare and put it in the host

Go to the domain hosting control panel (the domain and not the site) and search for the manage option or the DNS RECORDS option or the Nameservers option  , click on it, you will now see two options, the first is called Nameserver1 and Nameserver2

In the first, paste from the previous picture No. 2, and in the second paste from the previous picture No. 3

Wait 48 hours for the complete change to take place

It usually takes up to 72 hours to change the DNS settings, so now you have to wait for Cloudflare options to be activated on the WordPress site again..

That’s it, now after this process, you will definitely get a WordPress website twice as fast as it used to be
